In May 2016, players from Phoenix Brass joined the Burbage Spotty Dog Choir for a joint concert at Tedworth House, Tidworth to help raise funds for Help the Heroes, a charity set up to help provide better facilities for British servicemen and women who have been wounded or injured in the line of duty.
A large audience heard the Band and choir perform a wide ranging musical repertoire and the evening raised more than £1,400. Help for Heroes thanked the Band and the Choir “thousands of servicemen and women are living with injuries and illnesses, both physical and mental, each and every day. Together with their loved ones, they continue to need our help with challenges they face. Your support means they wont have to battle alone. On their behalf, let me thank you so much for your help and we thank you for making a difference”.
