Brass bands have a lot to offer, both the players and wider community. Brass banding offers an opportunity for people to do something different, whatever their age, it is about learning music, continuing to play music and playing for the wider community. It is also a social event meeting together at the two weekly rehearsals and the various engagements throughout the year.
Phoenix Brass meets for rehearsals at the Froxfield War Memorial Hall on Tuesday and Thursday evenings throughout the year from 7.30pm to 9.30pm and is always pleased to welcome players of all standards.
Rehearsals are generally easy going, and are a mixture of playing through musical pieces currently in their programme and working in more detail on new music to add to their programme.
If you feel you would like to learn to play a brass instrument and join Phoenix Brass, or would just like to come for a visit, please do make contact to see what instruments the band might have available, or alternatively feel free to drop in to see us on a Tuesday or Thursday evening, or at the Training Section on a Saturday morning from 10am.
